Welcome to The Stitching Corner!

Hi, I’m Jessica – the heart, hands, and hustle behind The Stitching Corner. I’m a lifelong lover of cross stitch, English Paper Piecing (EPP), and quilting—but it wasn’t always that way. A dear mentor had to really persuade me to give stitching a try. Once I started, I never looked back.

My journey began at age 8 with a simple embroidery kit gifted by a neighbor. From those first stitches, a lifelong passion was born. Years later, I wanted to explore beyond the basics—fancy flosses, specialty stitches, and hand-dyed fabrics. That same mentor introduced me to Bent Creek, and it opened up a whole new world of creativity.

While I’ve dabbled in many crafts, the constant in my life has always been the needle.

Outside of stitching, my greatest joy is being a mom to five amazing kids (yes, FIVE!). I worked for many years in the local healthcare field, but something always felt missing. When our family made the decision for me to stay home, I found myself carrying a stitching project from room to room. My son used to chase me around with my Q-Snap and beg me to sit—he loved watching the floss glide through linen and snuggling up with me in my cozy stitching corner.

Friends and family began asking me to create pieces for them, and that slowly blossomed into this business. I never imagined how fulfilling it would be—not just to create and curate, but to connect. The needlework community is filled with kind, generous, and talented people, and it’s been an absolute joy to share this journey with so many of you.
