"I started this series back in 2024, inspired by the colorful little cards that needles used to be packed in. And, stitched on 40 count, they fit in a standard 5 by 7 frame! For this one, I wanted to celebrate the humble penny — a coin which we’ve had in our pockets and purses, bought candy and cross stitch stuff, and made wishes in fountains. I have a great affection for Abraham Lincoln, whose profile is on the penny. So look for nods to Abe: a train, an axe, the log cabin he was born in, “Honest” and a top hat, a Lincoln Star quilt block, a basket of pennies, and the Illinois state tree (white oak), bird (cardinal) and flower (violet). Oh, and a blackberry pie, his favorite dessert!"
This item will be released during Nashville Needlework Market on March 6-8th, 2026. Items released during Market will not begin shipping until we have returned to the shop and received additional shipments from the many wonderful designers exhibiting.

Terms & Conditions for Preorders and Special Order items-
- Patterns generally arrive within a month of their release (Market, Expo, and Marketplace times can cause variation). New releases can be about a month while existing releases may only take a few days as they are simply being restocked.
- Fabric will be dyed to order and time varies between the Dyers. Generally between 6-18 weeks.
- Threads generally arrive within a few days to a month.
- Should you want to cancel any items within your order, it will be subject to our cancellation policies.
- If I cannot fulfill your order due to supply issues or discontinuance, I will refund your original payment method and contact you for alternatives.
Preorder & Special order items are NOT IN STOCK and will ship within 2 shop business days of arrival. If you order these items and other in stock items, your entire order will ship when your FULL ORDER is in stock. Please contact me if you need items from your order sooner, we can work on it together.
Cancellations
Refunds for cancelling any in stock item will be issued as a Store Credit less a 30% restocking fee. Cancellations for Preorder and Special order items are subject to an 50% cancellation fee. All cancellations are refunded in Store Credit only.
Postage & Handling is not refundable as it is a service that is not refundable once a shipment is mailed and accepted by the carrier
